Every purchase in the 2008 Vintage Angus Ranch Genetic Gold Sale is guaranteed to test negative for the recessive gene associated with “Curly Calf Syndrome” reported by the American Angus Association on September 5, 2008. With this guarantee, we provide our customers the opportunity to purchase their choice of cattle with zero risk. DNA samples have been harvested on every animal in the sale offering and will be submitted for testing when a test approved by the American Angus Association becomes available. Official results from this test will be provided to the purchaser. If any animals from this sale are determined by the American Angus Association to be carriers of this recessive gene, Vintage Angus Ranch will provide the purchaser the following options: refund of original purchase price; credit the purchase in a future Vintage Angus Ranch sale; replace the purchase with a non-carrier animal of equal quality; or retention of the original animal by the buyer with no further liability held by Vintage Angus Ranch.
